Is it possible that you may have classified some people and friends in your life as operatives (as you call them) when they were no such thing? Is it possible a friend may have shared their story not to persuade you not to tell yours but because they felt you would understand theirs given your new experience? Those experience sharing conversations can be healing but only if someone is ready and open to heal. I believe the traumatic things we experience in time we can heal in part from but as grief does not cut the soul equally the percentage of healed varies.
