THE ENREALMENT METHOD WEEK FOUR: WHERE PRESENCE MEETS PURPOSE
An invitation to explore the relationship between 'here' and 'why'
The relationship between presence and purpose is fundamental to an enrealed consciousness. That is, it is my belief that the more deeply we embody an experience of presence, the more connected we become to our sacred purpose in this lifetime. Purpose is not a conceptual thing, nor is it something that can be defined by another—it’s a felt experience and an encoded path. In other words, it lives within us, at the heart of our story. And, to the extent that we can excavate and actualize it—it then becomes a portal back to presence. Soon enough, presence and purpose become essentially indistinguishable. We are both here and clear as to why we are here simultaneously. And they feed and nourish each other.
In the week to come, continue to play with the connection between presence and purpose within you. For example, when you go deeper into inhabiting, energizing and clearing the body in the coming weeks, pay close attention to whether your experience of a more embodied presence invites a greater degree of clarity as to why you are here in this lifetime. It doesn’t have to be a dramatic reveal—it can be a subtle realization about something you want to heal, express, create or explore. The important thing is to make a note of it, and also make a note of whether it fades out of consciousness during those moments when you feel less present. Even something as simple as grounding your feet on Mother Earth can invite more clarity as to path and purpose. So, play with that, and play with moving your body, releasing emotions, howling at the moon, doing whatever you bloody well please, and seeing if more of your why rises into awareness. While you ground, or while you surrender to your body alive, try repeating the following words like a mantra: “Why am I here?” Ask it over and over—quietly, or loudly—to see if it yields any fruits. I once spent an evening dancing frenzily in my house, shouting “Why am I here?” until an answer emerged. The next step on my path was right there, deep inside of my body, awaiting permission to reveal itself. Give yourself permission to explore the relationship between feeling more present in the moment, and the clarification of your reasons for being in this lifetime. Where does presence meet purpose within you?
