To this point, we have been remaining inside of the first prong of the Enrealment Method Process. That is, the quest for presence. Not presence as a fragmented experience, or a convenient experience, or one that courses through only one aspect of you (i.e. through the mind, or the heart, or the body), but PRESENCE AS A WHOLE BEING EXPERIENCE. Once we do the work to become more present, we will turn our attention to the question of purpose. That is, why are you here in this lifetime? What are the callings, gifts, and offerings that you are to embody and to bring to the world at large? It is my belief that, at some point, presence and purpose become indistinguishable from each other. But first, we do the work to get more present for every aspect of reality, so that we are truly here for the inquiry into directionality and meaning.
This week, we will engage in a simple inquiry into the ways that we are not present for our lives. Below is a list of fundamental human experiences and ways of being within the self and the world. And I invite you to look closely at the question of whether some of them are obstructed, debilitated, denied the opportunity to be expressed and to take up space in your life. That’s not to say that there aren’t reasons for their absence in your life—circumstances, conditioning, coping strategies, and unhealed experiences can all lead us to shut down elements of reality and ourselves—but it is still important to acknowledge them and to clarify a re-integration path where possible.
